Dave Chappelle hosts benefit concert for Dayton, Ohio mass shooting victims

Comedian Dave Chappelle hosted a free benefit concert in Dayton, Ohio on Sunday to honor the victims of the mass shooting this month, which left nine dead and 27 injured.


The concert named "Gem City Shine" featured a star studded lineup including Stevie Wonder, Thundercat, Chance the Rapper, Teyana Taylor and Talib Kweli. Comedians Jon Stewart and Chris Rock also took the stage.






Chappelle is a resident of Yellow Springs, Ohio which is located 20 miles outside of Dayton. “The best way we can honor our fallen is by getting up better than we were before,” Chappelle said while speaking to the crowd, according to the Dayton Daily News.
