Ciara Hosts 2019 American Music Awards, Nominees, & More
The 2019 American Music Awards will take place in “The City of Angels”, Los Angeles, California at the Microsoft Theater.
The 2006 Grammy award winner, Ciara has been chosen to host this year's AMAs. Ciara has become an R&B legend and all around inspiration for black women around the world. In 2018, Ciara encouraged all the ladies to “level up” with the hit single that made it to Billboard Hot 100 in July 2018. And, in May 2019 Ciara released her comeback album, titled Beauty Marks. Ciara has become an admirable icon for African American women.
While Ciara was not the only talked about favorite this year. This years AMAs nominees will include some of our favorite black girls that rock, shining light on Favorite R&B singers such as, Lizzo and Ella Mai.
Lizzo had a breakout year with her first number one hit single “Truth Hurts”, shooting straight to Billboard Hot 100. She also starred in her first feature film Hustlers, along with Jennifer Lopez, Keke Palmer, and Cardi B.
Going up for Favorite R&B Album, nominees will include Khalid, Bruno Mars, Ella Mai, and America’s favorite, Chris Brown.
